All of these dates are Thursdays, 2 weeks apart. The exception is our last square, on November 26 - the day before American Thanksgiving! Then you'll have all of December to finish it up and get ready for the holidays. ♥

Above you can see the square that Marie made in 3 colors! Below is my CAL square, in my 5 colors of Red Heart With Love - Merlot, Mallard, Boysenberry, Cornsilk, and Black.

Details for MooglyCAL2025 Block 13

My Notes: Marie has designed a beautiful center-out square featuring a lovely variety of stitches! She has included lots of photos to help along the way, and the instructions are easy to follow. There is one thing to take note of! All the rounds are made from the Right Side of the square, *except* for Round 13 - keep an eye out for that one! Overall, this is a fun square you can work up in an evening or two, with lots of color possibilities!

Helpful Links and Tutorials: Crochet Abbreviations, Puff Stitch, Standing Single Crochet, Treble Crochet, BLO - Back Loop Only, and seamless join.

Sizing: My square was getting a bit big, so to get to 12" I skipped Rnd 14 and worked Rnd 15 as directed. But everyone's gauge is different, so be sure to measure as you go! Learn how to adjust for size HERE to ensure all your squares are the same size. Remember that the 12″ is measured across and up and down, not diagonally/corner to corner.

What I Did:

I used a Susan Bates US-J, 6.0 mm Twist and Lock hook, and Red Heart With Love, and my color scheme was as follows (see pics for more info on placement):

Rnd 1: Cornsilk
Rnds 2 - 4: Mallard
Rnd 5: Boysenberry
Rnds 6 - 8: Merlot
Rnd 9: Boysenberry
Rnd 10: Cornsilk
Rnd 11: Boysenberry
Rnd 12: Mallard
Rnd 13: Merlot
Rnd 14: Skipped for size
Rnd 15: Black

This square required a mild blocking, so I used the wet blocking method
